Hima Hammana

About

Perched upon the heights of the village with the aim of preserving wild life, this reserve is home to the first observation post for migratory birds in Lebanon recognized by Bird Life International. Spending the day there makes up for a fascinating getaway in one of the most important migratory routes in the world! Endangered species such as the Egyptian vulture have been observed in the area. Serving as a popular spot for eagles and vultures thanks to its rocky heights and dense pine forest across the northern hill, the valley is also classified as an Important Bird Area by Bird Life International.
